_ Thanks to our campaign team - we won with 63% of the vote in our primary race for Commissioner. Lake County is going to be Job Ready! Thank You!
_ My Goal
My goal is to make Lake County “Job Ready”. We start by electing a candidate who is Job Ready for the role to make Lake County a better place to live, work, and raise a family. A better place to retire. A better place to start or grow a business.
My Commitment
My personal commitment to you and the voters who sent me to city hall three times is one and the same: To be an accessible and accountable public servant, and to always use my common sense.
I’ve been successful at my business and on Council by seeking ways to work smarter and more efficiently. That is how I will serve as your next Commissioner. I am Job Ready to serve you, and together we will move Lake County forward in a positive direction.
We will increase, develop and retain its job creators, so Lake County’s employment and production is at its greatest possible level. We have many talented people working for and serving our county. We will be sure they feel empowered.
My Plan
My plan to make Lake County Job Ready has three pillars:
(1) Create jobs. First and foremost, I will work with leaders in the public and private sector to enhance the environment for private sector job growth. As your next Commissioner, I won't just talk about the unemployment problem. I will actively promote economic development and work to responsibly leverage the natural resources and competent workforce of our beautiful county to attract new businesses and retain our employers. I’m Job Ready and our Lake County will be too!
(2) Stop raising taxes. In tough times, we all need to live within our means, and county government is no different. As your next Commissioner, my answer to deficits won't be a tax hike. I will cut waste, reward those who find cost savings, and work within the limits of what you and every citizen already contribute to Lake County.
(3) Conduct a county-wide assessment. Responsible government begins will sunlight and accountability. As your next Commissioner, I will create mission statements and real benchmarks for each county department. Where feasible, I will conduct a performance audit to evaluate our employees' performance and efficiency, improve services, and reduce costs. Every department and every employee needs to be accountable to the voters. Every cost must be justified. I will use my management skills to evaluate, communicate, and motivate.

“Fiebig, 52, is a business owner, has served as Willoughby Hills councilman at large since 2008 and is a Lake County Republican Party Precinct Committee member.
He cites his education, experience and skills required to effectively provide the vision and leadership the county needs. "My service and experience in a very diverse community and the participation in the city’s recent turnaround will be vital in my approach to county government,” Fiebig said.
He said his plan to make the county job-ready includes working with the public and private sector to enhance private sector job growth, not to raise taxes and to conduct a countywide assessment of operations. News-Herald,
Dave Fiebig wins Lake County Tea Party Straw Poll
The results of the Lake County Tea Party straw poll held Saturday, January 14th, 2012 had Dave Fiebig handily defeated his opponent by a greater than 2-1 margin with 70% of the vote in the poll for the open seat currently held by Commissioner Ray Sines for a term commencing 1/2/2013. “I’m obviously very pleased by the outcome. Our campaign’s message is that Dave Fiebig is “Job Ready” and this group’s approval is an affirmation of that message,” said Fiebig. The Republican Party primary is March 6th.
According to their website, the Lake County Tea Party’s mission is, “to educate, energize, and mobilize the citizens of Lake County so that we can take an active part in our governance in order to preserve government of the people, by the people and for the people in our local community, county, state and federal government.”
David Fiebig has filed petitions for Lake County Commissioner. There is a primary March 6th, 2012 for the general election on November 6th.
In a press release, Fiebig said, “We face serious challenges ahead for local governments. Ideally, our next commissioner will have a blend of public/private experience and a management background. The 20+ years of running my own business, plus a dozen years in management with another corporation, along with my years on City Council has prepared me well for the job.”
“My educational background, including a Masters degree in Management coupled with an Urban Studies Bachelors degree, is ideal for this office,” Fiebig said.
“Willoughby Hills reflects the diversity of Lake County. I love Lake County and its terrific, hard-working people. I value cooperation, service, and fiscal responsibility in the public sector and I will work diligently to deliver that to the Commissioner’s office.”
